When the yoga forms

अमल योग तब बनता है जब कोई शुभ ग्रह आपके लग्न या चंद्र से दसवें भाव में स्थित हो, और उसी भाव में कोई पाप ग्रह न हो।

Amala Yoga forms when a benefic planet occupies the 10th house from your Ascendant or Moon, with no malefic sharing that house.

These form the yoga
Jupiter Venus unafflicted Mercury waxing Moon
These do not form it
Sun Mars Saturn Rahu Ketu waning Moon

When it stays weak — the limitation

this is where the real trust is

  1. 1The benefic is debilitated or combust (too close to the Sun)
  2. 2A malefic aspects that house or planet — even a clean house then gives a muted result
  3. 3The 10th lord is weak (low Shadbala, poor Dig Bala)
  4. 4The yoga-causing planet's dasha/antardasha is not running — the yoga exists, the result waits

“The yoga is present — but the result depends on planetary strength, aspect and dasha.”

The classical result

राजपूज्य, महाभोगी, दाता, बन्धुजन-प्रिय, परोपकारी, धर्मात्मा व गुणों से युक्त

honoured by rulers, enjoys comforts, charitable, dear to kin, helpful, righteous, and rich in virtues.

A worked example — yoga present, result waiting

Benefic in the 10th (highlighted) — but…

Yoga present, result not yet — planet combust · dasha 14 yrs away

Is it counted from the Moon as well?
